It’s bigger than Tinder, going to be bigger than Twitter and is probably going to save Nintendo after that terrible thing called the Wii-U. Pokémon Go is huge. But what does it have to do with us?
Well as a happy side effect of more or less everyone who once had a Gameboy colour playing this ridiculously popular game, it seems more people are walking. Our lovely web developer @beardedjack_ even said “I don’t need a fitness app, I’ve got this”; and indeed he isn’t the only one to mutter such an idea.
So what is Pokémon Go and will it actually help you stay fit?
The man, the legend!
There are many words you could use to describe Eddie Hall; monster, beast, giant. But recently, he surpassed all that, by a feat of strength that is like something you’d read in a Marvel comic.
For Mr Hall has now done what no Stokie, man or beast has done before, and lifted half a tonne.
He once lifted 462kg and the strongman world went a bit mad, he then joined forces with Mark Felix to lift 775kg.
But in Leeds, he beat his own record, and forever cemented his name as the best thing to come out of Stoke since Phil “The Power” Taylor.
Will your contestant become a gym buddy?
Gym buddies. They aren’t for everyone, but if you are on the lookout, it’s a good idea to get it right.
Of course, there are some people that it’s obvious you should avoid. Boris Johnson for example would be a terrible choice. You’d turn up at the gym, and then he’d bugger off. Meanwhile Corbyn would simply never leave.
So here’s how to weed the Boris or Jeremy from your gym buddy, and hopefully end up with an Apollo Creed.
This article is an opinion piece, and does not necessarily reflect the views of Supplement Centre.
Everyone is insulted about pretty much everything these days. Sometimes rightly, sometimes wrongly, but if you go onto social media, look at the news or speak to a handful of people, someone, somewhere will be on a campaign for justice because someone somewhere else has done something “disgusting”, “unfair” or “place negative adjective here”.
Perhaps the most common instance of people being wronged, is when it comes to body image. Brands, media outlets and individuals now have to be incredibly careful about what they post, say or do, but 9 times out of 10, someone will be offended.
Disney have now joined the party, and just like England vs Iceland, they cannot win.

Trying to work out what to do…
It’s 6pm, you’ve not long finish work, and you are on your way to the gym…but what are you going to do when you get there?
If, like many, you aren’t the best at making basic decisions, then knowing what to do can be a difficult choice. Legs, chest, arms, back, cardio, core, shoulders, take up CrossFit? “What do I do!?” you are probably screaming inside.
But don’t worry, as per usual, Supplement Centre is here to save the day.
Pick a squat, any squat, what squat will you pick?
Ahhhhhh squats. Like moths and light-bulbs, fish and chips or Starsky and Hutch, they go hand in hand with leg day and are an essential part of any workout.
Some love them, some hate them, but squats, just like protein shakes, come in many different shapes and sizes…and flavours.
So what are these splendiferous variations? Well let’s start with the most famous of them all.
Keep going lad!
We all change, though we might not admit it, and the days of working out, staying in shape and generally being active are often replaced by bourbons, endless repeats of Top Gear on Dave and a merging of our fat and muscles.
But what if you want to change back again? You used to workout, you stopped, but you want to return?
Let’s start with a big dollop of realism.

Being oiled up for quicker door entry is not on our list.
All of us are always trying to find ways to make our lives easier. Whether it’s a robotic vacuum cleaner, a self stirring mug or twirling spaghetti fork, we have designed myriad gadgets to save time or cut down on the hassle.
The problem with us folk who like to lift or run our way through the day, is that there are very few time saving, hassle slashing gadgets around, if it all.
But there are plenty of things you can do to make the most of your time on this earth, and by that I mean of course the time you spend staying in shape.
Let’s start with your music.
Liam Browne takes on the storm!
We gave Liam Browne a tub of Amino Storm to review, and this is what he thought…
Amino Storm is the latest product from Matrix Nutrition, combining the well-known BCAAs with creatine, taurine, glutamine and HMB. I have always used a BCAA supplement, be it through capsules or powder, they are always a part of my performance nutrition, and I will be using Matrix Amino Storm again.
When I am purchasing a BCAA supplement, I look for several things, pricing (and with that in mind, servings per container), how well it mixes, taste and of course the results.
Feel the burn!
Calories are an odd beast. They are talked about almost daily in the press, and in the most basic of ways, are what fuel us every single day.
As a society we have become obsessed with “burning” them, and have come up with many creative sports which do just that as a purpose, or in the case of Boxing Chess, do it as a by-product.
But what activities burn the most?
